Introducing The Presley ApartmentsSM

A new beginning for an iconic Oklahoma City property

Naming Announced for Retrofit Development on Lincoln Boulevard

OKLAHOMA CITY  –  Gardner Tanenbaum announces the new name for their highly anticipated retrofit development project on Lincoln Boulevard in Oklahoma City.

The Presley ApartmentsSM

The multi-family complex boasts 316 units and is packed to the brim with amenities for residents. The structure, which landed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, will feature a centrally located pool, tennis courts, underground parking, golf simulator, coworking spaces, movie screening experiences, and regular community events.

“We’re bringing destination living to the Innovation District in Oklahoma City. This will be something our city has never experienced before. Our residents will be ‘all-in’ for extremely competitive rates, and their living experience will be packed with more features for upscale living than they can get anywhere else,” said Richard Tanenbaum, Gardner Tanenbaum CEO.

The property sits north of the State Capitol on Lincoln Boulevard in Oklahoma City and will feature quick access to the Innovation District, as well as midtown and downtown OKC. The Presley ApartmentsSM, a social living community, has been under construction since 2019 and the newly imagined design aesthetic will uphold the standards of it’s architectural origination: Modern Movement, New Formalism.

“It’s extremely important for us to honor the history of this property as well as the community that surrounds it,” Cindy Murillo, Gardner Tanenbaum COO.

Formerly known as the Lincoln Plaza Hotel, the property had its heyday in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Ownership changed hands throughout the 90’s and it ultimately fell into disrepair and was abandoned. Richard Tanenbaum purchased the development in 2011 with a vision for a brighter future. The Gardner Tanenbaum team worked to obtain tax credits that ultimately made the retrofit project possible.

“It doesn’t happen without the tax credits. We needed that to get this done,” said Richard Tanenbaum.

The Presley ApartmentsSM are slated to open in the summer of 2021.
